Look et whut I done did

Alright, I've been fuc...., uhm, tweaking the template, yeah that's it, tweaking it. Anyway, I've done and made a real mess, err....some links may be temporarily unavailable. But it's not my fault, it's, it's...hey what's that??!!

/runs away

Support the troops

Lt. Smash over at the indepundit is organizing a nice little rally to show support for our troops. It's being held in San Diego, so if anyone is in or will be in that area soon, you should check out Smash's site (use the link above) give him a holla'.

My apologies

Sorry for not posting yesterday. Was a busy day and I just never made time for the blog. I'll try not to let it happen again. It was for a good cause though. My son participated in the school spelling bee last night. I felt an incredible amount of pride watching him compete. I felt even more pride as he crushed his competition into the dust to win the second grade championship;-). Yeah, I'm gloating. Anyway, I promise that today's posts will make up for my absence yesterday. Read and enjoy.

P.S. I'll also be working on the template a little this evening so if for whatever reason you are unable to view a link on the page, wait about fifteen minutes and try again.

The left takes another

I have sad news friends. A person I thought to be a proud member of the RWA has surrendered to the commy left. His original site Cooper for Pres, has been bought buy Progressives for America. You can guess what type of group they are. You can read Coops farewell letter here. What a buncha crap. Yes, it's his site and he's allowed to do what he likes with it, but Cooper is someone I believed would never be willing to sell his beliefs. The Emperor is taking this particularly hard, as it was his site that helped launched Cooper for President. So naturally he's a little peeved about Coop selling the site to a bunch of socialist fuckbags. Read His Majesty's rant here.

Speaking of Emporer Misha

He's got a sad article about England signing away their personal rights. Bummer, big fucking bummer. I was just starting to like those guys too. Oh well, read his rant here.

He's baaaaack!!

Go to Frank's blog to see the newest episode of the misadventures of your favorite Limey. My favorite part is where he mentions the handicapped spaces.....spewed Pepsi all over my monitor though...damnit.

I can't believe I missed it but

Bill is posting again!!! Bill Whittle from ejectejecteject.com has started posting after a lengthy hiatus. His posts are actually individual chapters from the book he's writing. The first chapter was done on the fifteenth. I can't believe I missed it. It's long, but it's a good read that's definitely worth it.

Chapter one

If you like that one you can read the follow up (chapter 2) by clicking here.

Can somebody please tell me

Why we aren't carpet bombing Fallujah yet? We lose five soldiers and four civilians are murdered and yet there is no retalitory response. WTF?? As soon as we found out about this we should have turned this stinkin' city into a heap of broken buildings and charred bodies. That's what they did to us after all.

If you're not pissed off yet, then click here and click the AP link that has the graphic footage warning.

Kerry's foriegn supporters

You've all heard that John Kerry has said he's spoken with foriegn leaders who want him to win. But, he won't say who they are. Trying to protect his friends, I understand that. But this is Freedom Nation, and I am the Overlord and I don't care about protecting his friends. So I've done a little homework, and I've discovered who these "friends" are. You can see which foriegn leaders support John Kerry and why by clicking here.

New feature

I'm adding a new segment to Freedom Nation. I'm jumping on the bandwagon. You've got Rush's open line friday, Schnitt's "ask Schnitt anything", and even Frank J has his Frank answers segment. So I'm gonna add a new part to Freedom Nation. It's called "Ask the Overlord". That's right. Whatever question it is that boggles your mind, I can answer it. You just send in whatever problem is perplexing you at the moment via the email link on the left, in the subject line put Ask the Overlord and I'll answer in Omnipotence (not the same as impotence). Just include your name, your url if applicable, and where you're from, and of course your question. If you don't send all that in with your email I'll just make it up and trust me, you DON'T want that.

another edition of WTF?

Professor Bischinger, a top Doc at Innsbruck says we have actually regressed health wise. He says in order for us to maintain our health we should go back to, uhm, well, ugh...I just can't say it. It's too disgusting. Read it for yourself here.

Relating to the story below:

Here's a story from Lord Spatula about some guy who really shouldn't be practicing medicine anywhere. This retard tried to forcibly perform an abortion and ended up pulling her guts out, literally. This story is an isolated incident, but I thought it worthy of posting simply because of the disgustingness of the story. Even the "pro-choice" crowd should be pissed off by this story.

I am Anti-Capitalist

At least according to this young lady. What I want to know is, what do abortion "rights" have to do wtih capitalism, other than the simple supply-demand aspect? But from what this young lady tells us, because I don't believe in abortion, I'm an anti-capitalist. I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding the corrolation here. Capitalism is a form of economics, not a socail science, religion, nor does it even have anything to do with your government (at least if it's done properly which I'm sad to say is not the case in America...see Microsoft). I am against abortion, I always have been. This individual does not agree with me. That's fine. Lots of people disagree with me. But to say I'm anti-capitalist because I don't agree with her is an ignorant statement. Let's get this straight, I love having money. It makes my life easier. I believe that if someone has an idea and a passion to go out and take the risk to make money for themsleves that they should be respected for that and should be able to persue that without government intervention. Pretty much all christians are against abortion. They are not all against capitalism, in fact very few of them are. Hello..you've never seen a christian book store? You think they give those books away for free? The pastor at my church owns his own business and is literally a millionaire. Does that sound anti-capitalist? My personal beliefs have nothing do with my economic beliefs. And this individual has no right to say otherwise, nor do I. But since the guantlets are down, let's do this.

This is going to be one of the few points of contention that I disagree with Ayn Rand about. But it's one I disagree with very, very strongly. So you Ayn Rand "pimpers" out there are probably going to be unhappy with me. Tough ;-)

My personal beliefs are obviously tied into my faith. So to take out of the argument so this doesn't become a theological debate, let's just make this about personal responsibility. I want to take a look at a few of Ayn Rand's quotes that this individual has kindly put up on her website.

"One method of destroying a concept is by diluting its meaning. Observe that by ascribing rights to the unborn, i.e., the nonliving, the anti-abortionists obliterate the rights of the living: the right of young people to set the course of their own lives."

— Ayn Rand ["A Last Survey — Part I", The Ayn Rand Letter Vol. IV, No. 2, 1975.]

I don't understand how protecting the fetus obliterates the rights of others, unless you're speaking of the mother. I'll get to that next.

A man who takes it upon himself to prescribe how others should dispose of their own lives - and who seeks to condemn them by law, i.e., by force, to the drudgery of an unchosen, lifelong servitude (which, more often than not, is beyond their economic means or capacity) - such a man has no right to pose as a defender of rights. A man with so little concern or respect for the rights of the individual, cannot and will not be a champion of freedom or of capitalism. (For a full discussion of the issue of birth control, see my article "Of Living Death.")"

— Ayn Rand
and this...

"Responsible parenthood involves decades devoted to the child's proper nurture. To sentence a woman to bear a child against her will is an unspeakable violation of her rights: her right to liberty (to the functions of her body), her right to the pursuit of happiness, and, sometimes, her right to life itself, even as a serf. Such a sentence represents the sacrifice of the actual to the potential, of a real human being to a piece of protoplasm, which has no life in the human sense of the term. It is sheer perversion of language for people who demand this sacrifice to call themselves 'right-to-lifers.' "

— Leonard Peikoff (Objectivism, in the Chapter on Government)

This to me, is actually one of my strongest arguments against abortion. Sorry guys, but these quotes, (yes even Ayn Rand's) sound the senseless bleading heart crap that comes from the mouths of the luny left. Wa-wa-freakin' wa. Boo-hoo having this baby will ruin my life. Get over it. You had sex knowing full well what the consequences might be and CHOSE to do it anyway. Now deal with the result of your actions. By this argument you can say that convicted killers felons should be let free because being in prison infringes on their personal rights. It's a bunch of liberal crap. Sorry guys, I know some of you will hate me for this, but that's what it is. When every one of us has sex, we are aware that there may be consequences for that action. If you persue that action, or any action for that matter, not prepared to deal with those consequences then I'm sorry but you are just being irresponsible. And then to say it's anti-capitalist..on what grounds? Because there's a demand for abortion? Hell there's a demand for hired killers out there too, but that doesn't make it right. By allowing anyone to have an abortion for any reason is nothing more than absolving people of personal responsibility. Another point to bring up would be the rights of the father. But I won't because after all everyone knows damned good and well that in this country in any parental conflice the father has virtually no rights anyway, so why bother. I'm sorry if this tirade seems longwinded, but that woman saying that I'm anti-capitalist because I don't believe in abortion really pissed me off. We can argue morality all day, but the simple fact is that there is NO morality involved in capitalism. In capitalism there is no right or wrong, there is only freedom of business. The right for a person or company to make money by suplying goods or services without outside (government) intervention. It's that simple. To bring morality into capitalism or vice-versa in my opinion is one of the most anti-capitalist acts you can commit.

Yes, I'm pro-capitalist and anti-abortion (I don't like the term pro-life, it's misleading). Fait aside, here's why:

1) as mentioned above it absolves said person of their personal responsibility
2) excludes potential father from any say what-so-ever

I want to say also, that to call a fetus a parisite is completely abhorrent IMO. This is a future human being that we are talking about. Not some tick to be pulled off your dog. Yes it is true that it cannot survive without the mother. But I've got news for you, anybody with kids will tell you that by that definition the kids are "parisites" until they are old enough to kick their arses out of the house. At what point IS the mother responsible for the baby? After all, a six-week old baby cannot survive without somebody to take care of it. Hell, my four year old couldn't survive without somebody to take care of him. Does that mean I can indiscriminantly "abort" him to remove the responsibility? In any other case, Ayn Rand would argue that something created by man is something to be respected. Why is an unborn child any different? I would in fact say that an unborn child should be even more respected because not only is it created by man (and woman) but is in fact a future man (woman) and is the future architect of this world. The bottom line is you don't want the responsibility then don't open your freakin' legs (or "dip the pickle").

Besides, there are way to many hippies in the world and we need to create more non-hippy people to counteract this.

Discalimer: My spell checker is apparently not working so I take no responsibility for any misspelled words in this post.

Update: Just wanted to mention that this post is not meant in any way to knock Ayn Rand or the ARI. It is simply one disagreement with a part of her philosophy. This is actually a good thing, how happy would she be if she realized anyone were blindly following everything she said? She'd rolll over in her grave I tell you. I know, I asked her. Yes I did, I contacted her on the other side with my awsome intellectual prowess. Yes I did! Liar.

Not really relating to anything

Well, I suppose you could relate it to the whole gay issue going on now. But really I just wanted to post it cuz it was some strange stuff. Ain't love grand? Obviously these two kids never had their arses wipped enough when they were younger.

Update: The link is working now. Not that the story is important or anything...just amusing in a sick ironic sort of way.

Haha!

Well, it would appear that we scared away our new friend. Since he hasn't replied to the blog or my email, I can only assume he was appropriately humbled by my awsome intellect. My work is done, have a nice weekend folks.

I was wrong

When I said you should vote for someone and something, and not against someone; I may have jumped the gun a little bit. In some extreme instances, it's ok to vote against somebody. Take this guy for example. He can never, ever, ever be allowed to be president of This Great Country. Ever.

Some Good Reads

Here's an excellent article from Fox news about the rights of property owners.

Also, Liberty has a good piece about eliminating the progressive income tax.

Dont' vote against anybody

What really get's me about the hate-Bush crowd, is that there's really no rational reason for them to hate him. I mean look at his domestic policies. You would think that the left would like him for all the spending going on. The sad fact is, people hate him for two reasons. One, he has an R next to his name in regards to politics. Secondly, he's a rich oil boy and they are not. Silly reasons to hate someone isn't it? I wish I had me a rich oil boy for a friend. Maybe he would buy me some cool stuff, like my own island with little peasent people to bully around. That would be fun! Really though folks, the fact is that most people don't really like Kerry. They simply stand behind him because of their blind hatred for Bush, and that's no reason to vote for someone. Especially not John Kerry. When John Edwards was capaigning, he had a great line in one of the speeches he gave. Now obviously I don't want Edwards for president because I wouldn't agree with his policies. But you have to admit he's a pretty charismatic guy and will probably have a good political future in years ahead. Still not someone I would vote for though. But he did have great advice for people to consider when going to the voting booths. When you go to the booths to vote, go there to vote for someone who represents what you want. Don't go to vote against somebody. Cuz you end up losing no matter what happens then. So when you go to the booths in November (and please for the love of God, go vote), don't just vote for Kerry cuz he's not Bush. The anybody but Bush crowd are a bunch of raving moonbats. Vote FOR somebody. Vote for the person who would best represent what you want out of this country. I mean really, do we really want this guy for our Commander in Chief?

On Bush'n stuff

You know, I've never made it a secret that I have a lot of problems with Dubbya's domestic policies. I always considered him a moderate republican at best, but more of Dem-lite really. Lately though he's started to grow on me some more. I think it's mostly because of all the frothing-at-the-mouth hatred coming from the left about him. They haven't hated anyone this much since Ronald Reagan was in office. Well, maybe except for Newt. But really, when was the last time you've seen a group of people hate someone so much since the Pal-ass-wipians started hating Jews? The way I see it, anyone hated this much by the left has to be pretty good in my book. I mean, hating Bush has become the "in thing" for the far left. Just look at this guy highlighted in Frontpagemag.com. And he was all ga-ga over the Bush administration just a year and a half ago. Go read what Emperor Misha has to say about this guy.

The Hatemail

This is the text of the email that I received yesterday...(I'm so proud)

hi

just a few lines to voice my disagreement with you

Take for example the result that occured in the elction in Spain. The reason they voted to remove the conservative government and replace it with a left wing party was because they were lied. Aznar(the former prime minister) immediately after the attack placed the blame on ETA. A group who want a part of Spain callled the Basque country to be a seperate identity. The Spanish peopleon the other hand knew well that the attacks were planned on by Al-Queda.

Also, you right winger constantly state your love for democracy. In Spain all opionions polls showed that there was no support for spanish involvement for a "crusade" in Iraq. The government ignored their wishs and sent troops. I did not hear you complain about the result.

But when the people did vote in a democratic election and the result did not go your way. You then complain.

Each day, you right wingers say, we will not negotiate with terrorists. In northern ireland, there was 26 years of bloodshed. The fighting stopped when the British government realised that you cannot beat terrorists. There will and driving force will always be greater.

The killing of Shiek Yassin will serve no purpose but to create more bloodshed, on both sides.

Many Arabs do not hold the same hated as Bin Laden. However, they support Bin Laden because his campaign is a channel to voice the Palestinian cause.

Just so you know we should take this guy seriously, the return email address was youignorantshit_at_hotmail_dot_dom. So at least we know he's legit.....

The response:

Hello youignorantshit (that's a strange name, did your parents not want you or something?) I'm glad you took the time to write to me. I've been hoping to get a limey of my own. Frank's so lucky to have such a great limey that I wanted one too. Well, you're not exactly a limey, but maybe we can have fun too!!

So you wanna disagree with me? GREAT!! I love that. That's what the comments section is for. You said the conservatives in Spain lost because they lied. What did they lie about exactly? Were they saying bad things about peoples mothers? Azner wasn't the only one who blamed the ETA you know. That was the popular theory going around for godd 2 or 3 hours. And it wouldn't be the first time they'd blown something or someone up. But it didn't take long to figure out it wasn't their MO. All they really did was show the terrorists that Spain will capitulate almost as quickly as France. Notice how Hamas has backed off their threat against the US? Cuz they know us cowboys don't take that!! I've always wondered why people use the term cowboy as an insult nowadays. All the cowboys I remember were all good guys and were really cool. Well, they didn't dress cool, but they acted cool. They beat up the hippies. Ok they didn't really beat up hippies, but I liked to imagine the bad guys were all hippies cuz I hate hippies.

Yes us "right wingers" love democracy (for the record the left wingers claim to love democracy too). You can't say there was no support cuz that's not true and you know it you little hippy you! Polls showed that about 75% (if this is even accurate) of the Spanish people were against the war, yet the socialists only won by about 5%....that doesn't make any sense. If that's the case, that would mean that people only voted socialist cuz they were scared and they capitulated. Oh wait, they were and did. We did not complain about sending troops cuz that's what we wanted. If someone gives you money, do you complain? And yes we didn't like it when the socialists won (cuz I hate hippies and hippies are just socialists in disguise) cuz we all hate socialists here and that's not what we wanted. Don't you complain when someone takes your money? And we didn't complain, we just said we weren't happy.

You are wrong when you say we can't beat terrorists. You just have to find them and kill them. Some think carpet bombing is the way to go, but personally I want either up close and personall executions (preferably public) or just nuke the bastards. That way you get all of them, now isn't this fun? Maybe you're right about England, after all, appeasment worked out so well with that whole Hitler situation. After they appeased him he stopped killing....no, wait, he killed more people. But that would mean that you're wrong and that can't be can it? After all, everyone knows that Churchill was just a warmonger looking for a fight right? I'm having fun, how about you youignorantshit? Isn't this a hoot?

Killing Yassin did accomplish something. One less terrorist to worry about:-) I especially like the photos of the aftermath where all that's left is his chair and a foot. Wasn't that neat?

Many Arabs do not hold the same hated as Bin Laden. However, they
>support Bin Laden because his campaign is a channel to voice the
>Palestinian cause.

Isn't this a contradiction? They don't hold the same hatred but they support him? Doesn't make sense but maybe I'm just not as edumacated as you are. I am after all a product of the American publice education system.

Now let me break it down you ignorant shit. Bin Laden can't further the Palastinian cause. You know why? There's no such thing as a Pal-ass-wipian. At best they are a bunch of displaced arabs who want nothing more than to push Israel and all Jews into the sea. They have been offered time and again the chance to live in peace and co-exist with Israel and they have rejected it every time. They only exist but for the good graces of Israel you moonbat fuckbag. Israel is quite capable of wiping out every last fucking Arab in that part of the world and yet they choose not to. You know why? They're not murderers you moron! The were even offered a proposal in which they received 98% (in case you're too dumb to understand, 98% is really close to 100) of what they were demanding and they refused. What about the fact that almost 90% of "displaced arabs" believe that EVEN if Israel were to completely capitulate and give up 100% of the demands they still believe jihad should be waged against the Jews. You know who else thought that way? Say it with me moonbat, ADOLF HITLER!! Frankly why Israel hasn't pushed all the palastinians into the sea themselves is beyond me, but they've shown an amazing amount of restraint. That is Israel's land, given to them by the UN after WWII. They then secured it by TWICE kicking the hell out of the arabs (the first time outnumbered by almost 10 to 1) and sending them packing. If anyone should be taking in these "palastinians" it should be the Egyptians, Jordanians, and the Syrians. They after all are the ones who sent them there in the first place, you idiotorian moonbat fuckbag.

have a nice day and please, write again:)

sincerely,

Ivan Rohde, Overlord and Supreme Evil Ruler of Freedom Nation

It Figures

I decree that no news can happen while I'm gone, and wouldn't ya know it. I come back to work and it all comes in at once. That's alright though, I can take it;-)

If you haven't heard already, Israel launched an air-strike into Gaza yesterday, killing the founder of the terrorist group Hamas, Shiek Yassin. Shockingly, the EU is all up in arms about it. Just breaks your heart doesn't it. Now the Pal-ass-wipians are are vowing revenge against Israel and the US? Hehe, I say "Bring it bitch!".

I'm not going to do any posting about the Dick Clark situation, cuz that crap gives me a headache. But if you want to read about it, and how 60Mins failed to give full disclosure about his book go to Drudge's site.

This past weekend was the anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq. Predictably, the peace-nuts were out in force this weekend. The communist group ANSWER was of the front-runners in the demonstrations. John Hawkins has some good pics up over at RWN of some of the protestors. Pay particular attention to pic#4.

Lt. Smash also has a great take on it, having gone undercover personally to one of the peace rallies. He even managed to sneak an interview with a member of the ISO (internation socialist organization, i.e. commies).

Update: Lt. Smash sent the audio of Rebecca's "speech" to Roger Hedgecock. He has the audio up on his website. Listen here.

Not a virgin anymore

That's right. Your Beloved Overlord has gotten his very first hate-mail. It's not a stupid cheesy hate-mail either. It's the good, frothing at the mouth, terrorist loving, left-wing moonbat hate-mail. I'll post more tomorrow cuz I'm tired and I gotta get up early. Look for the email and my response sometime tomorrow.

News from the Empire

Misha has a good post about the joys of socialize health care. Once again, enjoy folks!

Europe is in the minority

We all know that the EU isn't happy about the killing of Yassin. But judging by this picture it looks like there are some out there with a little common sense about the matter. Allah's got some more pics here. Enjoy!

If we outlaw guns, what do we do about the zombies?

I went to the movies this past weekend and learned a great new reason the guns should never, ever be outlawed. See, I went and saw Dawn of the Dead. I actually enjoyed it (I have this creepy and probably unhealthy fascination with zombies). I think it was a pretty well done movie, and I'm a pretty big fan of both Ving Rhames and Mikai Phiefer(sp?). My point is, if we outlaw guns, what do we do about the zombies? Remember 28 Days Later? Don't you think those people would have had a much better chance to survive if they had all been allowed to carry guns? For those that didn't see it, it was a zombie-type movie that took place in England where guns are outlawed except by the military. So see, we have to keep guns legal. Otherwise, if the zombies ever come after us, we're screwed.

The Overlord is Not Happy with Frank J.

Frank recently did an e-mail interview with John Derbyshire, a mathematician and columnist for National Review. It was a good interview. Both men have a great sense of humor, and are pretty gosh darned smart. The problem is they started talking about prime numbers and well.....read for yourself. OOOHHHH, my head hurts..............

In Defense of Mel Gibson's Passion

As everyone has no doubt heard (and if you haven't you need to get out of that backwards ass third-world country) Mel Gibson's movie "The Passion of the Christ" is doing rather well at the box office. Well, that's actually putting it mildly. However, some are not so impressed with Mel's work. Now, I'm going to be honest, I haven't seen the movie yet. I don't know if I will ever see it. Not because I don't want to, but because I know the story and don't need a movie, however well made it may be, to tell it to me again. But some are coming down pretty hard on the movie. Not because of the quality of the film or acting or anything like that, but because of what it is. I recently went to the Ayn Rand Institute webpage and read this op-ed about the movie. For once, I have to disagree with the writers at the ARI. The article is written by someone who obviously has no idea what Christianity is all about. I'm not condemning him for not knowing Christianity, hell, a lot of people don't. That's their choice, and I have no problem with that. I am criticizing him for writing an article about something which he is obviously clueless. Mr. Ghate has taken the extreme PoV of a few "extreme" Christians, and made it appear to be the PoV of the majority. The fact is, he's gotten it quite wrong. Christians do not view the worlds population as murderer's guilty of killing Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus died FOR us, not BECAUSE of us. Get real people, Jesus was hammered to the cross by the HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE for crying out loud. That was 2000 years ago. Last time I looked, there weren't any wooden crosses standing up in my back yard. The movie was made by a Christian, for Christians. If you are not a Christian, then chances are pretty good you won't like the movie, and you won't get what the movie's about. It's simply taking the most important moment in history (from a Christian PoV) and putting it on film. It's no different than making a movie about D-Day or Vietnam or whatever. Remember the defenders of these films? "Yeah, the movies are graphic but it's a story that we want to tell.". Well this is just a story that Mel Gibson wanted to tell. Nothing more. Now honestly, Gibson is a little out there. I mean, he is Catholic after all (jk). But let me explain to you how I see Jesus and his story. To do so, I'm going to use the above analogies involving the war movies. To me, Jesus was/is the ultimate soldier. The war he fought was/is very different than what we would view as conventional war. But he was a soldier. And just as today's soldiers go out to risk/give their lives for their people and beliefs, that's what Jesus did. And just as many soldiers have gone into a battle knowing they would never make it out alive, so did Jesus when he was crucified. From a Christian's PoV, the best thing we can do as Christians, just as we as Americans believe of our own soldiers, is that we should strive to live the best life we can and be worthy of the sacrifice made for our benefit. Now some don't believe in Christ obviously, but you understand the analogy I'm sure. And there are many stereo-types out there about Christians. But just as other stereo-types out there are generally not true, so most of the stereo-types about Christians are not true. The fact is, this is America and we are guaranteed freedom of religion (and contrary to popular belief this does not mean freedom FROM religion, read the constitution). If you don't believe in Christianity, fine, don't go to church. If you don't wanna see "Passions of the Christ" then don't go see it. I have never, ever tried to cram my beliefs down anyone's throats. I will gladly discuss my beliefs with anyone WHO WISHES it. I have never tried to force anything on anyone. Come on people, one of my best friends in the world is a RAGING HOMOSEXUAL!! Do you think he would consider me a friend if I sat around beating him in the head with the Bible all day? And really, we don't do that anyway. We use baseball bats, much more fun and effective:). I prefer the old school Louisville Slugger myself. Wooden, none of that aluminum crap for me. One more thing to complain about. I have recently heard a local radio talk-show host say that if Mel was really such a holy man he would give all the profits to charity. WTF?? Since when does being a Christian exempt someone from being a capitalist?? That's the biggest croc of crap I've heard in a long time. And this is from a fairly right wing talking head. You would think people would take this movie as an example of what America is really all about. No, not the religious aspect (though it should be noted George Washington himself said man cannot rightly govern without God and the Bible *gasp* how dare he??). I'm talking about a man, taking a concept he believes strongly in, investing over 50 million of his own dollars (that includes the marketing and stuff) and making a CRAPLOAD OF MONEY!!!!!! That's the American dream baby!! What the f**k is everyone's problem? You would think that these right wing talk show hosts, and especially the ARI would be proud share a country with someone like Mel Gibson. Instead it turns into an anti-Christian tirade. All in all, I have to say I'm fairly disappointed with the way the critics have reacted towards this movie. Most are criticizing not on quality or ability, but instead criticize the beliefs behind the movie. I am especially disappointed in the ARI, who wrote about a topic which he was apparently uninformed about, and for the first time that I've ever seen, made the ARI appear anti-capitalist.

UPDATE: I think it important to note that when I mentioned being disappointed in the ARI, I was referring specifically to Onkar Ghate and was not generically referring to the ARI as a whole.

Ok, I Lied

I am gonna post something. But I'm the Overlord, so it's ok. While the rest of us were out celebrating the anniversary of the death of St. Pancake, some idiotic reporter was writing about what a here she was. Read the Emperor's take on it here.

Also, if there's anyone reading this who thinks that Israel isn't justified in defending their country by any means necessary, read this.

One More Thing

I'm working on doing a couple of interviews for the website. Nobody famous or anything like that. Someone better actually. I'm trying to lock in interviews with a couple of average American soldiers. One's an old friend of mine who just returned from Iraq, and another is The Lovely Mrs. Rohde's cousin whome was recently injured when his HV was bombed. He is currently in an American Medical Unit in Germany. I'm hoping to communicate with him on his return to the states. Keep your fingers crossed.

Newcommers to the Blogscene

Welcome Clare and Neil to the Blogosphere. Everyone can check out their website here. *sniff, sniff* I'm so proud!!

BTW, nothing to post today. I'm busy. And I have decreed that while I am busy no worthy news can occur anywhere in the world.

The Emperor:

Emperor Misha I has a good take on John Kerry and his "foreign friends". Why can't everyone be this rational??

Anti-Competition in the EU

When are these socialist fuckwads going to leave Microsoft alone? These idiotic shitheads are forcing Microsoft's product available to other companies to sell as their own. WTF?? These morons aren't encouraging competition, they are hindering it. They are hindering it cuz these morons are afraid of competition. God forbid someone should have a good product and try to make money off of it. We can't have that now can we? Useless jerk-offs.

A Follow Up

Last week I posted about the communist agenda here in America and how it was being fulfulled right under our noses. Liberty has been kind enough to point out another site with some more detailed commentary on the issue. Again, it's frightening how much our society has already capitulated to these commy nutjobs.

Rumsfeld's Tourney

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has opened up his secret fortress to warriors around the world to see who will be the grand champion. The winner receives one million dollars, and the post of Associate Secretary of Full Contact Defense. Most importantly, you will receive an honored spot among my army in the RWA. Yes, you too can be in command of one of my battalions of Gecko Warriors. If you are deemed worthy that is....MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Think you have what it takes? Hmm, we shall see, we shall see.

More Sad News

America and the Blogosphere have lost one of our own. Lt. Smash at Indepundit has alerted us that Bob Zangas was killed in Iraq during an ambush. He was a former marine and blogger working in Iraq with the civilian authorities. Please take the time to read Lt. Smashe's short eulogy and to read Bob's final post. Please pay your respects. Though he can't post for us anymore, his blog will have a permanent link on the blogroll at Freedom Nation.

We Must Become Nazis?

John Hawkins at RWN has a copy of a post from DU that pretty much sums up what the left is really all about. You can read the post here. And contrary to what some lefties would like you to believe, these are not just a "few leftist nutjobs on the fringe". Some lefties want us to believe that posters at DU don't represent main stream liberalism. But it's hard to argue with the facts. DU is in the top 4000 websites world-wide and has over 41000 registered users. I'd say that's pretty indicative of the mainstream left.

Sad, Sad Days Ahead

Sorry for the lack of posts lately folks. I've been too depressed. I've recently learned some tragic, distressing news. Call the pope, Hell has frozen over, the sky has fallen, the fat lady has sung, and monkeys have finally flown out of Mike Meyer's butt (see Wayne's World). That's right folks. On March 11, 2004, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they are cutting SS John Lynch. This is truly a sad day for Tampa folks. A sad day indeed. Yes I realize that football is a business and these things happen in the era of parity (not parody, though that's what this feels like). But this is nonsense. From an economic standpoint this makes no sense at all. Even after eleven years, Lynch is one of the premier players in the league. More than just that, he's a leader from old school football. I'm talking about a stand-up, no excuses, take it like a man player who has earned the respect of everyone he has played with and against. Add to that the fact that he was willing to actually take a pay cut to stay with the team, and you have on giant enigma. I just don't understand. This man was part of the original crew that single-handedly pulled this team from the bottom of the NFL cellar where they lived for 20 years. Yup, 20 years of double digit losing seasons. They hold the record for consecutive losing seasons you know. And Lynch was one of the guys that pulled them out. This my friends is a decision I just don't understand. I have no choice now but to unleash the full fury of my Arm of Mutant Gecko Warriors on One Buc Place and bring Gruden and the new GM (whatever-the-hell his name is) and CRUSH THEIR BONES INTO DUST!!!!!!!!!! Who's with me folks? Taking over the world will have to wait, this is FOOTBALL we're talking about here!!

UPDATE:

the rants not over!!! I just want everyone to know that this is a prime example of what happens when business's are not left alone. This is the result of parity by the NFL. For those that don't know, parity is the whole salary cap thing. It "forces all teams to operate on an equal playing field". It's bullshit is what it is. It's a dynasty killer. Remember the glory days of the steel curtain defense? the great days of the cowboys? Well those days are over thanks to parity folks. Gotta love those liberal business schools!! NOT!~!!

Bush Does Not Control the FCC

I've made no secret about how I feel about how the FCC is going after companies and DJ's lately. But contrary to what some would have you believe, this is not some part of the VRWC to shut up those that speak out against Bush. Some, most notably the two most recent shock jock casualties Bubba the Love Sponge and Howard Stern, want you to believe it's all part of a conspiracy by the Bush administration to keep quiet the dissenters. That is simply not the case. Do you think Bush would even take the time to wipe his ass with a transcript of one of these guys' shows? I hate to tell you folks but Bush has other problems right now besides what 2 unfunny shock jocks think about him. I don't mind telling you, I don't like Howard Stern or Bubba. I don't think they are funny, or even mildly entertaining for that matter. I do think the persecution coming down on them is unjust. But for them to say this is an attack from the Bush administration is absolutely ridiculous. The worst part is that they know this. So why are they saying this? Sensationalism. That's what they do, they're shock jocks after all. The more they make themselves out to be the victims of "the man" the more ratings they get. Or at least in their minds. Personally I think it makes them look even sillier. And lets get real, Stern wasn't censored, he was fired. So was Bubba. These guys got their companies fines, and they got fired. It was a business decision, that's all. And Stern was only carried in six of the Clear Channel markets. And Clear Channel owns over 1200 stations, so it's not like Stern is being tied up and locked in a closed. It was six freakin' stations for crying out loud. Let's not forget that the single largest fine ever levied by the FCC came against Howard Stern (and his parent company Infinity Broadcasting) in 1995. Who was president in 1995? That's right, it was Bill Clinton. Of course Bill was just supporting his republican brothers in silencing Howard Stern...oh, wait...Bill Clinton was a democrat.. Does that mean that Bush really isn't singling out Howard Stern? That can't be. Howard said... Bullshit folks. I don't like how the FCC is overcompensating this anymore than you do. But the fact is this is NOT some conspiracy by the Bush administration. Stern and Bubba and their ilk are using that angle to try and get more ratings. I don't like them, I don't find them entertaining. In fact I do actually find them offensive. But if I don't like it, I turn the station. Simple as that. These guys' ratings have been dropping for years anyway. What does that mean? It means a free market works. People thought they were offensive, and they showed it by not listening. Very simple.

One more thing worth mentioning. A good majority of the listeners' of these shows were in fact the same people trying to get them off the air. The whole "know your enemy" theory. The problem was, in listening to the enemy, they were in fact providing ratings and keeping these guys employed. Again, free market works, the thought police don't.

About Martha Stewart

This is something I've been meaning to get to for a while now, but with everything else going on Martha's kinda not all that important. As you no doubt know, Martha Stewart has been found guilty of fraud and lying to investigators. She was never charged with the insider trading. I want to get something out here about ol' Martha...I don't care. I really don't. I could care less about what happens to old Martha. But being who she is, and the nature of the crimes it is worth the Overlord's attention. Just barely though. Is Martha guilty? I don't know. I don't care. If she is she should go to jail. That's not the point. What's really important is why we are going after Martha. There are plenty of people who would like to see Martha go down just because she's who she is. Rich that is. These are the people who believe that all rich people got there by stomping on the faces of others. Forget the fact that they worked their asses of to get where they are and have what they do. People like to see the big guy fall. Rather than try to emulate they big guy, and be as successful, they would rather see the big guy brought down to their level. It's called class envy and it is rampant in our country. Most notably in the hippy (liberal) left. It's the same with Rush Limbaugh, Bill Gates, and Michael Jackson. Granted Jackson is a really creepy dude, and there's no way I'd ever let my kids around him, if he were just an average dude, nobody would care about his case. Don't get me wrong. I don't feel sorry for Martha, she put herself in this mess, as did Limbaugh and Jackson (Bill Gates is the only innocent example I listed). If these people broke the law, and a jury believed the prosecutor over Martha, then she should be punished. It has been said by some that insider trading shouldn't be illegal. Well, to a degree I agree with that. But it is illegal and Martha knew that. She is after all a former stock broker. It's a position she put herself in and could have easily avoided. But let's make sure we go after her for the right reasons. If she broke the law, yes take her down as you would anyone else, but not because of who she is. Unfortunately, she won't go down like everyone else. She will be made an example out of because she' is famous. As is Rush. The people going after them for the most part don't care why they are, they are just happy to be taking down the big dog. It's a shame when someone is punished for what they have accomplished rather than what they have committed.

Spain Surrenders

In a disappointing turn of events the Spaniards have voted to put the socialist party in power in their country. Naturally, their first order of business was to announce that all Spanish troops will be removed from the middle east by June. Now there's a message for ya. Hey terrorists!! If you murder a few of us we'll nut up instead of coming after ya, why don't you try it with America. Oh wait, they did. Fox News has the whole story.

Frank's Counter-Attack:

Frank launches an unusually somber counter-attack against the limey. Though not his usual mocking self, he none-the-less does a more than adequate job of crushing the limey.

Note: Frank's response is in the same post as the original e-mail. You just have to scroll down a little bit.

The Limey has returned to express his glee for the murder of innocent people in Madrid. What a real piece of shit this guy is. I suggest everyone emails him again.

The Communist Agenda in America

In 1961, a former FBI agent published the results of his research as a mole inside the CPUSA. This short list is by no means the entirety of his work, but represents the salient points of the Communist Party USA's agenda. Ironically, this agenda matches almost to the wire the agenda of the left wing parties in this country. Even the democrat nominee John Kerry has expressed a desire to fulfill many of these himself. But let's not forget that John Kerry himself allied himself with communist organizations right here in America when he was hangin' with Hanoi Jane. Oh yeah, he served in Vietnam too... It's also disturbing how many of these "goals" have actually already been accomplished, some of them I'm sad to say with the acceptance of some of my own libertarian party. Makes me kinda think about switching to all out conservatism.

Current Communist Goals

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen]

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

The Machine

I was going to do a post about Martha Stuart today. She's gonna have to wait. I've come across a post on another blog that NEEDS to be put up. This is what it means to safeguard our freedom. This is part of the price that is paid. I sleep better at night knowing that someone like this is out at the edge of reality making sure the nightmares never reach us here at home. Most of us will never know what exactly it is within us-exactly what it takes to do what they do to keep us safe. They come to terms with the "machine" so the rest of us hopefully never have to. If you are not completely awed and humbled by this then go find some hippy-ass liberal web site and bleed your heart out there about what a monster Doc-russia is. This is what it is, this is what it takes. This is just a small glimpse at the machine that hopefully the rest of us never have to face, and I tell you right now without hesitation that I am DAMNED proud to be an American. Damned proud to be worthy of this man's protection. And I consider it my duty to earn that protection by living my life well, by living the American dream. Being productive, and fruitful, and to work hard and honestly, cuz when it comes down to it, whether you're flipping burgers or running multi-billion dollar companies, without this man and those like him your life and my ilfe wouldn't be worth a shit. It is because of those wililng to embrace the machine that we live free today. You owe it to yourself to read this, and you owe it to him to pass it on.

In Defense of Bush's Campaign

Bush's ads have been coming out in greater force lately, and some people don't like it. The ad shows images taken on September 11, 2001. It talks about Bush's leadership afterwards and relates it to the war on terror etc.... Some liberal groups have spoken out about this saying it's inappropriate. They even found 6 people who lost family in the World Trade Center to speak out against the ads. A whole 6 people!! That's like, half a dozen or something!! Forget the fact that 5 of those 6 people had axes to grind with Bush pre-9/11 (for more info go to RWN). But in an open letter to the country, dozens of families of the victims of 9/11 are coming out in support of Bush's ads. The former president of the Uniformed firefighters even said that for the first time he will be voting for a republican president. the article

Let the Cashier Keep the Change...

There is a fantastic article at Conservative Alerts webpage about government surplus'.

ISSUE: Right now, the federal government doesn't have a "surplus" in its budget. Besides the obviously necessary funding for the War on Terror, outrageous Congressional pet "pork" projects have put us deep back into deficit spending.

So, we have no more "surplus". But that WILL change someday... and when it does, we need to make sure that THIS time, instead of just automatically spending OUR money, the government GIVES IT BACK TO US.

Read the rest of the article here.

If the above link doesn't take you directly to the article, click on the issues and legislation tab. It's the second or third item down.

Someone asked me recently

how I felt about the legalization of marijuana. It used to be I would've said "Screw it, if people wanna fry their brains out let'em. Who are we to stop them?". Now I kinda have a different attitude. No it's not cuz of the moral reasons or the war on drugs or anything like that. It's a lot simpler and much more selfish and childish. Here's why I don't wanna legalize marijuana anymore. I hate hippies. I really, really hate hippies. Hippies like marijuana. Legalizing marijuana would make hippies happy. Anything that makes hippies happy, by definition, must be bad. So therefore, legalizing marijuana would be a bad thing. See my point?

Limey part IV: Return of the Limey

That's right, the limey is back! And so is Frank J., the limenator. This time the limey really goes nuts and even threatens to block Frank's e-mail. Frank was even kind enough to share Limey's e-mail so we could all play with the limey. So please all, let your disdain of socialist Europe show and e-mail the limey!!

Kerry gets nod from democratic party

By now you've probably heard that John Kerry has gotten the nod from the democratic party for the upcoming election. By all accounts this is some of the best news yet regarding this year's election. That's right, I said the best news. I've made no secret of the issues I have with Bush's administration. The pork spending, the illegal-immigrant amnesty (and let's be honest here, that's exactly what it is). But the one area Bush shines in is by far the most important. It's in fact the only real job the federal government is supposed to have. Foreign policy. Everything else is really a non-issue as it's all crap the federal government really has no business being in anyway. This country is at war even as this post is being typed. And this country needs a war-time president. If I have to choose between Bush and Kerry for that president, there is no question where that vote will go. "Why is that?" you ask. Well let's take a quick look at Kerry's voting history. We could get into details but I have no doubt the Bush administration will spend lots of time and money revealing the intricacies for us. Over his long and (cough) distinguished (cough, cough) career, John Kerry has voted more than 300 times to increase taxes. Yup, that's right. Over three-hundred times. That alone is enough to make me not vote for him. But let's take a look at what else the good senator has voted for. He's voted dozens of times to decrease spending on the military and various projects meant to make the military stronger. Remember what I said about protecting our country and foreign policy being the federal governments' only job? Don't think that's true? Read the constitution for yourself. The most egregious of these said votes was just after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 when John Kerry voted to cut intelligence spending by over one billion dollars. Yup, he voted for that just AFTER the terrorist attacks. Throw on the fact that he wants to hand over control of our military to the U.N. and that makes for one scary presidential candidate.

Now you know that in my book, Bush hasn't done to well on some domestic issues. The tax cuts were nice, but where's the cuts in spending to go along with them? What about massive increases in funding to a failing public education system? And the ridiculous proposal to give an ass-load of money to that artsy-fartsy non-sense? But in the areas that really matter, in what is probably the most important situation our great country has to deal with right now, Bush is with out a doubt the man for the job. To be honest, the only criticisms I have with Bush in regards to foreign policy/military is that I don't think we hit hard enough or fast enough. But hey, I can overlook that;-) Besides, I'm just a war-mongering right wing nut, so what the hell do I know?

The Limey: part III

Ok, I've pretty much given up all hope of ever getting my own limey:-(..... But if you wanna keep reading about Frank's limey, you can do so by clicking here.

In Frank's Fanatsy World

Frank at IMAO, reveals the intricate politics involving America and Middle Earth.

'So there's trouble in Middle Earth again,' Bush sighed as he headed for the U.N. conference room, 'I guess we better nip it in the bud to protect our oil interests.'

'You're thinking of the Middle East,' Condoleezza Rice told him, 'We have mithril interests in Middle Earth.'

There was a pedestal at center of the great room, upon it sitting the small golden ring. All countries and races filled the room, ready to debate its fate. Bush entered along with Condi, Donald Rumsfeld, and Buck the Marine, all taking seats near the center.

Bush leaned over to Condi. 'Remind me again why we care about this?'

'I can answer that,' said Gandalf the Grey, 'The Ring is an evil power, and the forces of Mordor will stop at nothing to regain it. It will also corrupt any mortal who tries to use it.'

'It is pretty,' Condi said, slowly reaching for the Ring.

Bush slapped her hand. 'Beardo said not to touch.'

'This meeting shall begin,' announced Kofi Annan. 'The Ring, thought to be lost, was found by Frodo Baggins and brought to our council. At the pleas of Middle Earth, we shall now decide what is to be done with it.'

'France shall takeses good cares of the ring,' Jacques Chirac said, rubbing his hands together greedily, 'Yesss. Give the precious to France.'

'Sounds like a plan,' Bush said, 'Beardo said the ring will corrupt those who possess it, and France is already corrupt. So, nothing to lose.'

'No!' Gandalf yelled, 'If the ring is wielded by anyone, then its evil shall eventually find its way back to Sauron. Then all will be lost. The ring must be destroyed.'

'While we're deciding whether to destroy it or not,' Condi said as she reached for the pedestal, 'Why don't I hold on to it.'

Bush slapped her hand again. 'Stop that.'

'Fine!' proclaimed Gimli the dwarf as he drew his axe. 'Let's destroy this thing and be done with it.' Gimli then hit the ring with all his might, his axe blade shattering to pieces on contact. The ring remained unblemished.

'Pansy-ass midget!' Rumsfeld shouted, 'I'll show you how you destroy things.' Rumsfeld then called for his dog. 'Chomps, see that gold ring? It's a hippy!'

With a terrible growl, Chomps leapt at the ring, mouth agape.

'Ah! A warg!' Frodo shouted as Samwise Gamgee shielded his master from harm.

Chomps grabbed the ring fiercely in his teeth as his head shook frantically about. When he spat the ring back onto the pedestal, it still bared no mark of wear.

'Well this is getting nowhere fast,' Bush said. 'Why don't we just take it to some desert and nuke the damn thing.'

'Why don't I hold it while we choose the desert,' Condi stated as she reached for the ring.

Bush grabbed her wrist. 'I'm serious; stop that!'

'There is only one way to destroy the ring: to take it it's origin,' Gandalf announced, 'the fires of Mt. Doom within the heart of Mordor.'

'We'll have to ask the permission of Sauron then if we can go into Mordor,' Kofi Annan said.

'But it must be done in secrecy!' Gandalf objected.

'Then you’re asking for the U.N. to sanction an invasion,' Kofi Annan rejoined, 'And that has to be voted on by the Security Council.'

'May I have a few words about this matter?' asked the Saruman the White.

'That guy sounds smart!' Bush exclaimed, 'Let's do whatever he says!'

'Careful,' Gandalf warned, 'Saruman can bend weak minds with his words.'

'Luckily everyone in my cabinet is strong minded,' Bush said, and then thought for a moment. 'Oh, wait! Me!' Bush then covered his ears.

'This Ring has great historical value,' Saruman said, 'and the land of Mordor is simply misunderstood. Plus, we have to take in to account any environmental impact of throwing the ring into Mt. Doom.'

'Yess!' Chirac hissed, 'Jacques will use his vetoses to save the precious.'

'But America is our ally,' Chirac then said while cowering, 'We need to help them.'

'No!' Chirac shouted back at himself, 'Nasty America trixies poor France! The precious should be ours!'

'Okay,' whimpered Chirac, 'I surrender.'

'How long does he get to go on like this?' Bush asked impatiently.

'Since he is debating himself, he gets twice the floor time,' Kofi Annan answered, 'Then we have to have debate from all the other countries and let them cast their meaningless votes on the matter.'

Bush looked about the large room. 'G'dammit! How many countries are there?'

* * * *

The debate raged for hours upon hours as all countries and all races that walked the earth weighed in... and then weighed in again until the most ancient and wise of the Ents, Treebeard, said, 'Speed this the f**k up!'

Finally a resolution passed 144 to 4 that the problem was all the fault of Israel.

'The more we bicker,' Gandalf said, 'The stronger the forces of Mordor grow.'

'I'm still confused about one thing," Bush said, 'What exactly is Tom Bombadil?'

'He's a joooo!' shouted the ambassador from Syria.

'Let's just leave Tom Bombadil out of this,' Gandalf said, 'You need to compromise with France to have the Ring destroyed.'

'Fine,' Bush whined. He then called out, 'Hey, Jacques-strap, will you agree to helping destroy the Ring if we include you in the coalition?'

'Maybe,' Chirac answered, 'but you Americanses better not trixies Jacques.'

'So all we need to do is take a helicopter right into Mordor and drop the damn ring in the stupid volcano,' Bush said, 'That there's strategery.'

'You can't do that,' Gandalf stated 'You must go by ground.'

'Why?'

'For the same reason we can't have it flown in by the great eagles,' Gandalf answered.

'Which is?'

Gandalf was silent for a moment. 'Well... uh... er... because of... uh... secrecy and stuff.'

Bush rolled his eyes. 'Then we'll send in a ground force.' He looked to the Secretary General. 'Hey, Coffee! We're going to send a group into Mordor by ground to take care of this ring business. Okey-dokey?'

'But who shall bear the ring?' Kofi Annan asked.

'I'll take it,' Condi said, reaching for the Ring.

Bush pulled her back. 'I'm really getting tired of this.'

'I'll take the precious,' Chirac announced, 'Yesss. Jacques will protect the precious.'

'No way I'm letting him touch it!' Bush yelled.

'And I won't trust it with an elf!' said a dwarf.

'Nor I with a dwarf,' responded an elf.

'And no jooos!' shouted a Muslim.

The bickering soon filled the entire room, but eventually one voice struggled to speak above them all. 'I will take the Ring,' Frodo said, 'though I do not know the way.'

'And wherever Mr. Frodo goes, I will follow,' Sam stated 'and help him in ways that will make people question my sexuality.'

'I object!' Bush yelled, 'Those two are short and don't have shoes.'

'Perhaps others can help them,' Gandalf suggested.

'I will lend my bow,' Legolas the elf announced.

'And I my axe!' proclaimed Gimli the dwarf. ‘Wait… I broke that.’

'And me my strangling,' said Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense.

'And I'll lend my M-16... and my KaBar,' stated Buck the Marine, 'and whatever else is good for kill'n.' He then thought for a moment. 'Who we fight'n anyway?'

'You shall face orcs and goblins,' Gandalf answered.

Buck squinted his eyes menacingly. 'They sound foreign.'

'And Jacques will lead the way,' Chirac hissed, 'Yessss. Lead the precious.'

'So be it,' Kofi Annan announced, 'Frodo Baggins shall be the Ring Bearer, and Samwise Gamgee shall stay at his side. Representing the elves will be Legolas son of Thranduil. For the Dwarves will be Gimli son of Gloin. Representing the humans will be Donald son of George and Buck son of Chuck. And, for the weasels, there will be Chriac, son of a bitch. Together they will be known as the Multilateral Coalition of the Ring... after some more lengthy debating and votes.'

'Dammit!' Bush exclaimed.

Frodo drew his sword to see it glowing a dim blue. 'There are orcs near... or hippies!'

'There's some protest outside,' Bush stated, 'Bunch of signs saying "No Blood for Rings."' Bush walked to a window and opened it. 'Shut up you stupid hippies!' He then threw out a chair. Finally, he returned to his seat. 'So where were we?'

'We had decided...' Gandalf started to say, but then noticed the pedestal was empty. 'The Ring!'

'And where is Condi?' Bush asked, looking around.

'All is lost!' Gandalf said as he put his face into his hands.

'I'm tired of this!' Bush announced as he got up and started to leave, 'I have some fundraisers to go to. Screw Middle Earth; the military is working on a mithril substitute made from plastic anyway.' He then left the building.

'Do you think we'll ever make it back to the Shire?' Frodo asked Sam.

'I sure hope so, Mr. Frodo, sir," Sam answered.

'One more thing, Sam,' Frodo said.

'What, Mr. Frodo?' Sam asked with concern.

'Could you not stand so close?'

Alan Greenspan

had some pretty frank comments about what to do with social security. And in the long run I agree. Though I don't think it should just be ousted (too many people have paid in too much and I for one want my money back), it does need to be changed or even phased out completely over a period of time. Read the article here, and pay special attention to Edward's comments. As Neil pointed out to me when he sent me the link...WTF is unearned wealth?

Musings from a pro-wrestler??

That's right. John Layfield (aka Bradshaw) did his own commentary in "Back Door". And guess what, it's actually not too bad. Intelligent musings coming from the WWE....who'da thunk it. Read his ramblings here.
