Doc's New Cure for Terrorism...Bend Over and Take It!!!!

Following in the footsteps of intellectual giants like Barbra Streisand and Sean Penn -- who have apparently convinced themselves that standing in front of a camera and reading lines that someone else wrote for you qualifies you to give advice on foreign policy -- world-renowned holistic health guru, Dr. Deepak Chopra, has somehow managed to parlay his ability to cure sore throats into making my blood pressure spike to gasket-blowing levels.

In his Huffington Post column (www.huffingtonpost.com) this week, Chopra advises us to bend over and take our medicine, saying that "becoming used to terror helps (us) defeat it." I wonder if the doctor gives the same advice to cancer patients: Ignore it and it'll go away?

Perhaps the good doctor would like to explain that to the families of the 3000 Americans who were murdered on September 11, 2001? Yeah, I thought not.

I think this one is most definitely deserving of a famous granny pic:

GOP Loses Last Remnants of Spine

WASHINGTON (AP) - House Republican leaders scuttled a vote Thursday on a $51 billion budget-cut package in the face of a revolt by moderate lawmakers over cuts to Medicaid, food stamp and student loan programs.

The episode marked a setback for Republicans on Capitol Hill. They had hoped to use the budget debate to burnish their deficit-cutting credentials with the public and their core political supporters, many of whom are disappointed with their party's performance on spending.

The decision by GOP leaders came despite a big concession to moderates Wednesday, when the leaders dropped provisions to open the Arctic National Refuge to oil and gas exploration, as well as a plan letting states lift a moratorium on oil drilling off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

Should we start voting third party now?

The Racist Left

How they really feel

Finally, the truth comes out. No, I'm not talking about Plamegate, Scootergate, or WTF ever gate the left is having wet dreams about these days. Straight from the Capitol of Moonbat Nation:

I hate America.

I hate the America that gets into their Hummers to drive three flat, dry, cemented blocks to their million $$$ mega-church to pray for the troops.

I hate Brit Hume this morning and his "hose you down" statement.

I hate the mom who shakes her head in patronizing sorrow that my daughter doesn't come to church on Sat night, Wed. evening, and Sun. morning.

I hate our leading mayoral candidate who has put "Take back our city from those without faith" and his "solid belief in christ" as his #1 and #2 campaign slogans.

There are some very ugly americans and sometimes I can't help hating them.

I wish I had grown beyond hate by this time in my life.
I'm still working on it. I guess I could change the words to "dislike greatly", but that doesn't convey my feelings this morning.

I need to take a walk and appreciate some fresh air, fall leaves, and kids laughing.

Is it ok to question their patriotism yet?

Idiocy in action

Colorado votes against tax cuts.

Colorado voters agreed Tuesday to give up $3.7 billion in taxpayer refunds over the next five years to allow the state to bounce back from a recession, ignoring the arguments of fiscal conservatives who say the government doesn't need more money to spend.

So in the midst of a recession, these people actually voted to have less money in their pockets? I think we should let, hell, even pay; for all liberals to move to the west coast and let them secede from the Union.

Ah yes, the wonderful smell

hypocrisy in the morning.

"I don't own a single share of stock!" filmmaker Michael Moore proudly proclaimed.

He's right. He doesn't own a single share. He owns tens of thousands of shares – including nearly 2,000 shares of Boeing, nearly 1,000 of Sonoco, more than 4,000 of Best Foods, more than 3,000 of Eli Lilly, more than 8,000 of Bank One and more than 2,000 of Halliburton, the company most vilified by Moore in "Fahrenheit 9/11."

What? You mean Moore....lied?? Surely you must be joking.....
